Students interested in acquiring knowledge and hands-on skills in clinical, diagnostic, and biomedical research laboratory work can pursue the interdisciplinary minor in Applied Biomedical Sciences offered by the Department of Biomedical & Nutritional Sciences.
To qualify for the Applied Biomedical Sciences minor, students must earn a combined GPA of at least 2.500 in the following courses:
The minor in Applied Biomedical Sciences consists of at least 18 credits. Students must attain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.500 in their minor courses to earn the minor.
Required Courses (8 credits)
- Choose one from the following:
- BMSC.3630 Analytical Instrumentation Laboratory
- MLSC.3810 Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory
Electives (10 credits)
Choose at least one course at the 3000-level and at least one at the 4000-level or above.
