You will need your UMass Lowell (UML) credentials prior to signing in to complete your housing application. If you have recently been admitted, these should be generated within 48 hours. You can find more information about claiming your account on our IT website.

Housing Applications

Academic Year Applications

Students who plan to live on campus for the academic year (both fall and spring semesters) should complete the academic year housing application available on the Online Housing Portal. This application becomes available as of November 1 for the next academic year and there is no application fee. We strongly encourage students to submit an application by the priority date below if they are interested in campus housing to ensure review of their Living Learning Community (LLC) preferences and to allow for roommate and room self-selection. We may not be able to allow students who apply after the priority dates below to participate in a LLC or roommate/room selection.

  • Returning students should complete their housing application prior to March 31

Spring Semester Applications

We welcome transfer students and those returning from study abroad or Co-Op to live with us for the spring semester. Students with an active academic year application should not apply for spring housing, the spring term is included within the academic year application. The spring semester only application becomes available on October 1 on the Online Housing Portal for the upcoming spring semester. We encourage students to submit an application early if they are interested in campus housing. Due to limited housing availability, students moving on campus for the spring semester will be assigned a room by the housing team using preferences provided in their application (as available). Additionally, we are not able to accept LLC or roommate requests for the spring semester. Room assignments and move-in information will be emailed to students with a completed application in early January.
