得到过也失去过很困惑

贪婪的捕食者掠夺了家园

人类的恶念比鬼神还可怕

或许我们都是不幸的个体

那成功是一种褒奖还是贬低

从古到今我们都在追寻永生

可永生背后的意义是什么呢

家族的没落和振兴

一代人的崛起和巨大的成功过后的寂寥

我们对生活在地球上的已知和未知未曾敬畏

贫瘠的荒谬

那宇宙的边界和地球的疆界又在哪里呢

探索是否意味着解谜

或是探求更大的疑虑

世界是否确实是真实的

夜晚的路灯和匆匆的行人

夏天的烤串和啤酒

人们的吆喝声伴随着蒲扇

大概是纯粹的快乐吧

人无远虑 必有近忧

那我愿意先放下远虑着眼当下

战争会给人带来什么呢

残酷的厮杀和背后的反思

其实没有意义

恐龙曾是多年前的霸主

但地球毁灭的时刻还是如约而至

我们无法探索和预测未来

不如珍惜当下

午后的阳光和下雨过后伞尖的露珠

青草的香气和温柔的晚风

日落的缱绻和淡淡的忧愁

日出的兴奋和重生的意义

这才是人间


The Immortality of the Present

Misfortune touches every one of us, yet is success a compliment or a calamity?

We have sought immortality since the oldest times, but what is this immortality?

Where are the borders of the universe and the boundaries of the earth?

Must we ask whether the world is real as the streetlights shine at night and we remember the rush of a crowd, the kebabs and beer in summer, the sound of people yelling together as fans, the sheer joy of it, I wonder.

I would like to put aside my distant worries and focus on this moment. What does war bring? The brutality and its justifications are meaningless. The dinosaurs dominated once before, but the time of the earth's destruction remains unchanged. We cannot explore and predict the future, so we should cherish the present. The excitement and true meaning of rebirth.


Biographical Statement - Jinghan Wu

I am a psychology major in my senior year at the university. I would like to continue to use my knowledge of psychology to write after graduation. I also plan to use my proficiency in new media and psychology to start my own business. I am interested in both jazz dance and rap music and write and arrange my own rap lyrics in Chinese. Thank you very much to Professor Luo for the guidance on this text and for giving me the opportunity to publish my work.
