As part of the campus safety program, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Office, can assist in ensuring worker and public safety. Several of the OSHA and Environmental programs to meet this objective include:
Basic Safety for everyone, please be familiar with the requirements
- Hazard Communication (HazCom); requirements of Hazard labeling of items such as common office cleaners, etc.
- Emergency Response and Evacuation procedures
- Slips, Trips and Falls: safety precautions for walking surfaces, etc.
- Ladder Safety: safety around ladders, office steps, etc.
- Electrical Safety: common precautions on office electrical hazards (extension cords, outlets, etc.)
- Ergonomics: advice on avoiding common ergonomic workplace issues such as musculoskeletal disorders, etc.)
- Confined Spaces: Do not enter unless properly trained.
