Governance Committee
Maintains the laws, bylaws and regulations governing the SGA and the clubs and organizations of the university recognized by the SGA. The Governance Committee also works with students wishing to create new undergraduate clubs on campus by approving all submissions and club constitutions.
The Governance Committee meets Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Campus Life and Environment Committee
Works toward the development of a campus environment that supports the personal, academic and social needs of students. This includes the physical environment, safety, security, campus dining, transportation, smoking policy and other service areas directly impacting the overall quality of student life at the university.
The Campus Life and Environment Committee meets Tuesdays 7 p.m.
Public Relations & Events Committee
Disseminates information concerning leadership, governance, academic affairs, campus events, campus life and environment, finance, SGA decisions, administration, faculty and news to the whole student body. Is also responsible for programming and coordinating campus wide or internal Student Government activities that involve the student body, administration, faculty and community.
The Public Relations & Events Committee meets Mondays 6 p.m.
Finance Committee
Maintains and distributes all monies received by the student activities allocation for the Student Government Association, the student clubs and organizations affiliated with the university. The Finance Committee also approves grant applications for undergraduate clubs.
The Finance Committee meets Mondays 7 p.m.
Academic Affairs Committee
Addresses all feedback related to the academic experience of students in and out of the classroom and makes an effort to resolve issues that arise. It serves as a liaison between the Provost’s office, faculty and the student body.
