Mexico | For paid internships, employer must liaise with Mexican Immigration to obtain a NUT (Numero Unico de Tramite) number, which indicates what category of visa to apply for. |
Japan | Work / Long Stay Visa- must receive Certificate of Eligibility andĀ Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS) registration through their sponsor/employer in Japan before submitting application to local consulate for visa.

Personal Health Insurance
Travelers should contact their health insurance provider in advance of departure to better understand how their particular insurance plan responds overseas. Some insurance plans provide some amount of overseas coverage on a reimbursement basis. Travelers should be prepared to pay for their medical care while overseas including deductibles on their respective health insurance plans.
If your plan does not provide coverage for your travel, you can purchase travel insurance that does. There are many companies that provide this type of policy.
