All new students to the university are required to complete the short training workshops on the Catharsis website (see links below). Information and links are sent out to new students, including transfer undergraduates, graduate, and first year students, prior to each semester.

For first year students and transfer undergraduate students there are two modules to complete:

  1. U Got This! – a sexual harassment module geared toward learning signs to be aware of, and actions, including reporting, you can take if needed.
    • To complete this module use the U Got This link, participate in the training, and submit your information (name, email and student ID) at the end.

  2. Binge Thinking – a module concerning alcohol and other drugs, and the effect on academic success.
    • To complete this module follow the Binge Thinking link, participate in the training, and submit your information (name, email and student ID) at the end

For new graduate students there is one module to complete:

  1. U GOT THIS 2! – a sexual harassment module geared toward learning signs to be aware of, and actions, including reporting, you can take if needed.
    • To complete this module use the U Got This 2 link, participate in the training, and submit your information (name, email and student ID) at the end.

Community Specific Training

  • Student organizations seeking specific trainings for their groups should contact the Prevention Education Office (contact Melissa Wall by email: Melissa_Wall@uml.edu) for sexual violence prevention, alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, and mental health first aid.
  • The Office of Equal Opportunity and Outreach (phone: 978-934-3565) can also provide training in sexual harassment prevention, compliance, civil rights protections and other areas.
