Sustain the music. Help us grow.

LYO Student

It Takes a Village...

Imagine being a child again and experiencing the world by making music. You would make that music for yourself and to share with others. It could be your friend when you were sad, or it could be a way to share your joy and energy with everyone you loved. That's what we do in the UMass Lowell String Project, and your monthly gift will provide critical support for the instruments, teaching staff, programming, and scholarships that are vital to our students' success. By becoming a sustainer of the UMass Lowell String Project, you place a violin, viola, or cello in the hands of a child who has a growing passion to make music.

The String Project depends on sustainers like you who understand the value that music learning brings to a child's life: the opportunity for safe self-expression, the vital life skills learned, and the incredible opportunity to make and build positive relationships with others in music. You are also investing in the future of music education as the String Project trains a new generation of orchestra teachers, our university students, who will one day bring this music to a classroom of their own. It's a win-win situation, and your tax-deductible gift is deeply appreciated by all.

When you click the donate now button on this page, you will be redirected to our secure donation page on the UMass Lowell Office of University Advancement website where you can choose to join our family of sustainers or make an easy one-time donation. On behalf of all the students and staff of the UMass Lowell String Project, thank you for your support. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to contact us directly by email: stringproject@uml.edu.
