Vacuum Compliant Reflector
- Sponsor: Brooks Automation
- Project Description: The goal of this project is to design a reflector that can withstand the vacuum conditions present in silicon wafer manufacturing processes. The reflector reflects a laser beam back to a sensor for measurement purposes. By bringing the reflectors inside the vacuum, windows in the vacuum chamber wall can be removed, decreasing opportunity for pollution of the ultra-clean vacuum environment and increasing reliability of the process.

Teach Pendant Automation
- Sponsor: Brooks Automation
- Project Description: In this project, a teach pendant cradle will be designed to house a smart device, the smart device will be wirelessly connected to the teach pendant cradle and then the cradle will connect to the robot via a wired connection. Robot will act as a server to host a webpage, and a mobile app will run on the smart device to access that webpage to control the robot.

LEAP Test Box
- Sponsor: Brooks Automation
- Project Description: Essentially the test box is an intermediary device that will be able to process inputs and write outputs both to and from the LEAP Robot. The team has chosen to comprise this test box of a level-shifting circuit to deal with the different logic levels, the robot's 24-Volt Logic and a microcontroller's 3.3-Volt logic. The microcontroller will need to be programmed and customized to be able to read inputs or write outputs on certain pins dependent on the test scenarios and relay that information to the host PC in a very quick time interval.

AI Image Recognition
- Sponsor: Collins
- Project Description: Collins Aerospace has camera sensors capable of collecting multispectral data, as well as work done from previous years’ capstones with deep learning. They now wish to find an application for multispectral data to be used with deep learning. We have decided to approach this problem by creating a deep learning model in material classification.

Friendly Fedora
- Sponsor: Red Hat
- Project Description: The Friendly Fedora Project seeks to benefit students by providing a free, secure, and open-source toolbox of applications within the Fedora operating system. This custom image will enable all students to access vLabs through the VMware client, recordings of in-class lectures on Echo360, freeCAD, extended LibreOffice addons, and more to support the needs of a student. This project aims to make Linux a friendlier environment for both new and existing users by packaging useful science and engineering centric applications into the Red Hat Package Manager, in addition to a helpful user interface for ease of download and documentation.
