Work Environment
The faculty in the Biomedical Engineering Department also participate in graduate programs in two areas related to occupational safety and health: Occupational Safety and Ergonomics (OS/E), and Occupational Epidemiology (OccEpi). In each area, a few graduate students each year are supported by a Work Environment Training Program Grant (TPG) funded by the U.S. National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). TPG trainees receive tuition, fees, and a stipend while they are enrolled as full-time students. *
