Teaching Careers
The Department of Music offers an undergraduate degree in Music Studies that is geared towards students seeking a career as a music educator. Students who successfully complete the Bachelor of Music in Music Studies program maintaining a minimum of a 3.000 GPA will be prepared to enter the Master of Music in Music Education (Teaching Option) leading towards initial licensure. Music Studies undergraduate students seeking to enroll in the Master of Music in Music Education (Teaching Option) program, which prepares them for certification, must apply separately to that program.
