Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Training is available to UMass Lowell faculty, staff and students.
Training Dates 2024-2025
March 13, 2025, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., University Crossing, Room 260A
April 14 and 16, 2025, 1 to 5 p.m. each day, Saab Emerging Technologies & Innovation Center (ETIC) Atrium
June 9 and 11, 2025, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, Allen House
Use the Mental Health First Aid Training Registration Form to sign up for one of the training sessions.
