Air and Space Force ROTC
UMass Lowell has been home to the Air Force ROTC’s Detachment 345, the Fighting Dogs since 1951!
AFROTC provides a path for students in pursuit of a career as an Air or Space Force Officer. For aspiring cadets, AFROTC offers the following scholarship opportunities to those who qualify and earn them:
- 3-yr, In-College Scholarship Program (ICSP)
- 2-yr Guaranteed, General Charles McGee Leadership Award (CMLA)

Army ROTC
UMass Lowell is also home to the Army ROTC. The university is a host school within the Bay State Battalion (headquarters for Army ROTC in Central Massachusetts). Other schools that participate in the Army ROTC program are Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Framingham State College and Fitchburg State College.
