Eligibility Requirements for the Community College Advantage Scholarship (CCAS)
Award: $5,000 annually for a maximum of 2 years.
The Community College Advantage Scholarship has both university-based requirements and terms and conditions set by the UMass President's Office. Students must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Community College Advantage Scholarship.

- Deadlines
Apply for admissions by April 1 and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or, if not eligible to complete the FAFSA, complete the Massachusetts Application for State Financial Aid (MASFA) by the UMass Lowell priority deadline March 1.
Only students enrolled in the UML in-person, day school program are eligible. Students attending through the Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) program or taking courses through GPS are not eligible for this scholarship. - Renewal Criteria
3.000 GPA; maximum four consecutive semesters - Adjustments for Cost of Attendance
UMass Lowell may adjust the merit award of recipients who receive additional scholarships, grants or any other educational based funding. If students receive additional merit, athletic-based aid or any other funding towards educational costs, their merit offer will be reduced or cancelled based on the cost of attendance as determined by the Financial Aid Office. - This scholarship cannot be combined with other UML merit based scholarship.
