JobHawk Employment Listings
JobHawk is used by students to search for and apply to jobs that are posted by faculty and staff. Supervisors communicate directly through the site to set up interviews, submit hiring paperwork. Jobs are also posted for off-campus employers looking to hire our talented students.
Types of jobs available through JobHawk:
- Federal Work Study and UMass Lowell Student Employment - on campus (funded through Financial Aid)
- Federal Work Study Community Service - on campus or surrounding communities
- Departmental Student Jobs - on campus (funded through individual department budgets)
- Job Location and Development (JLD) - off campus (paid by individual employers)
For International Students:
Most jobs listed on JobHawk are for students with financial aid work awards. International students are not eligible for federal financial aid. However, international students are eligible to apply for any departmental jobs listed on the JobHawk website.
All off-campus or jobs that are physically on campus but paid by an entity other than UMass Lowell will legally require that the international student contact the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) by email at: isso@uml.edu for prior permission and issuance of a new work visa document (Form I-20).
