The UMass Lowell Council on Social Justice & Inclusion is divided into two task forces, one on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the other on Gender and Sex-Based Discrimination. Their collective membership comprise the Council, which serves as a strategic and coordinating body for this essential institutional priority.

Some of the task force duties had overarching roles, thus there are three subcommittees that address issues as joint committees, including:

Engage in a review of the draft University Social Justice and Inclusion Values Statement.  Develop recommendations for changes to content, structure including consideration of breaking out concepts into separate Values and Vision statements
