Brendan works with a team to assist faculty, staff, and students with research projects and facility maintenance as well as maintenance of test infrastructure and robot systems. This includes software updates, sensor calibration, data collection and storage, hardware servicing, training, piloting, cleaning, organization, test apparatus and equipment design and ordering supplies. I also assist with data collection and testing on multiple projects with various robotic units. Brendan also received training and certifications to pilot, maintain, and train researcher staff in the use of small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) of interest, including Blue sUAS platforms. Future work will include bipedal and quadrupedal land robots, as well as waterborne submersibles.Brendan chose Mechanical Engineering and History for his undergraduate degrees because he has a passion for repairing artifacts as well as designing new devices. He pursued his Masters of Science in Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship to better facilitate the transition of these devices into products. Brendan has excellent SolidWorks skills and enjoys working on teams. Throughout his career he has developed his soft skills and has leveraged his experiences working with people from across the world to solve design problems.
