The mission of the Center for Photonics, Electromagnetics and Nanoelectronics is to conduct innovative research in novel electromagnetic materials (metamaterials), optoelectronic devices, biosensors, antennas and flexible electronics. Our research will exploit advanced materials such as carbon nanotubes and graphene. The center also seeks to integrate these devices to develop system-level applications that have the potential for commercialization (by working with industrial partners). There are five researchers associated with the center, each with specific areas of interest.
