The University of Massachusetts has partnered with SupplyLogic, a tech-enabled managed service provider specializing in supply chain optimization of marketing, procurement, and execution within print, POS, and branded merchandise.
Product categories include stationery, direct mail, brochures, newsletters, magazines, posters, banners, signage, branded merchandise, and other promotional items.
Your campus will enjoy several benefits – contractually guaranteed cost savings, integration of leading technology that increases speed to market and automates complex billing processes, the inclusion of favored local suppliers within our mutually-agreed supplier panel, and category innovation.
The launch of the SupplyLogic catalog within BuyWays is at different phases across the system:
Local supplier relationships are valuable to the UMass system. These preferred suppliers have been invited to the supplier panel and will benefit from having access to SupplyLogic’s broader enterprise spend.
There is no contract fee to participate on the supplier panel.
SupplyLogic will become an extension of our marketing and procurement needs, managing the supplier relationship on behalf of UMass.
Yes, the request for a preferred vendor may be directed to SupplyLogic through the Quote & Question Form. However, the supplier must be on the SupplyLogic vendor panel to participate in the bidding process.
UPST and SupplyLogic continue to work with existing suppliers to add them to SupplyLogic’s supplier database. The following print suppliers have been onboarded:
Your SupplyLogic quote will feature local and national options. You will have a choice of local or national chosen by the region and source selection should be based on vendor effectivity, quality, UMass brand adherence, and cost.
After you receive your quote from SupplyLogic, you should use the Non-Catalog Good Only Form found in BuyWays under the Purchasing Links section. Please see the Non-Catalog Purchase: Goods Only Purchases
SupplyLogic’s Account Management specializes in Print and Promotional products. They will help in providing alternative solutions based on project requirements. They will manage supplier conversations and if needed they will coordinate a call with the requestor.
SupplyLogic will be managing the 3-bid process (preferred, local, and national) for you, awarding projects after final approval from you. Once approved, SupplyLogic will manage vendor communications through production.
SupplyLogic has extensive processes in place to source and procure products at the best price and quality. Their experienced team of procurement professionals will work with UMass to understand brand needs and make suggestions that align with the project goals. Quality is the core of their entire sourcing process, including multiple checks throughout the lifecycle of the project. All suppliers are certified to ensure adherence to compliance standards and testing protocol.
Note: For custom print jobs, your campus Brand or Marketing departments will participate in ensuring that jobs are aligned with your campus standards.
If you would like to use a custom UMass logo, you should complete the Trademark Approval form (pdf). Approval from the UMass Trademark & Licensing department must be submitted with your quote request.
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to the UMass Trademark & Licensing department.
Currently, SupplyLogic does not cover printing exams. Departments should continue with their current local arrangements until further notice.
Ordinarily no, however, if there are extreme emergencies requiring an expedited delivery negotiated fees may be imposed.
The Lowell campus will continue to work with existing vendors or bulk mail (printing, addressing, and mailing) projects.
