UMass Lowell is committed to the safety, security, and well-being of the campus community, and is dedicated to providing accessible resources for community members who have experienced any type of sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking; as well as for any person about whom a complaint of this nature has been filed. All services listed here are free. Please remember, filing a police report is not necessary in order to get access to the university's resources.
Resources are available for all members of the UMass Lowell community who have been subjected to sexual harassment or sexual violence, and who have been involved in complaints of this nature.
All employees, full and part time, may use
GuidanceResources, the university’s Employee Assistance Program. There are two ways to access your GuidanceResources benefits:
- Call 844-393-4983. You'll speak to a counseling professional who will listen to your concerns and can guide you to the appropriate services you require.
- Visit the GuidanceResources website. You will need to Register and create a User Name and Password. Your organizational web ID is UMASS.
The EAP includes:
- 24/7 short counseling by phone
- Referral to counseling services - the first three are free, per issue
