Healthy Aging and Neighborhood Study

The Healthy Aging and Neighborhood Study (HANS 2) is funded by the National Institutes on Aging (PI: Wenjun Li, Ph.D.). The primary purpose of the study is to better understand the relationships among aging, risk of falling, physical activity, and indoor and outdoor environments. The data will inform future healthy aging and falls prevention programs. We are now inviting men and women who are 65 years of age and older and live in Worcester, Middlesex, and Essex Counties to consider participating in this important study.  This is a 3-year observational study. The follow-up visits will occur every six months. Participants in this study can be physically active or not; or may have fallen or not.
