Small Jazz Ensemble features guitars, keyboard and a rhythm section, coached by UML's own jazz great, Walt Platt. A recent concert featured compositions by well-known guitarists including Mike Stearn, John Scofield, Robben Ford and Pat Martino. Studio Orchestra, coached by Walt Platt, includes horns, saxes, guitars and a rhythm section. A recent concert highlighted the more obscure compositions and arrangements by the likes of Wayne Shorter, Woody Shaw and Freddie Hubbard along with new music by Louis Cole and Moonchild.
