Bernadette Stockwell is an Adjunct Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and Fitchburg State University where she teaches writing, research skills, interpersonal communication, and public speaking. She is also the Director of Development of The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra, a professional ensemble based in Milford, Mass., and is a member of Toastmasters International.

She enjoys music, photography, and collecting unique socks. “I passionately believe that competent writing skills are paramount to an individual’s success in school, work, relationships, and life in general,” she says. Stockwell is extremely proud of her daughter, Shannon, who is a grant writing in San Francisco, and her son, Aaron, who is a Unitarian Universalist minister currently serving a congregation in Lawrence, KS. She shares her home in Littleton with her husband Wayne and their cat, Hamish.
