Francis College of Engineering’s Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 5 p.m. in Moloney Hall at University Crossing.
Registration is open from January 21 until February 7, 2025.

THE PLEDGE: The Order serves as a reminder of the engineer's duty to serve society, similar to the Hippocratic Oath in medicine. Wearing the engineer's ring symbolizes pride in being an engineer and a moral and ethical responsibility to society.
THE RING: The Order of the Engineer stainless steel ring is worn on the small finger (pinky finger) of the dominant hand. Please use the Zales online ring-sizer to determine the ring size you would like to order or visit the Associate Dean's Office in Southwick Hall 254 to be sized. We will be staffed for sizing assistance from January 27-February 6 from 1-3 p.m. Upon submitting the registration form, you will be directed to provide a $15 online payment, which includes the cost of your ring and the lifetime membership fee.
ELIGIBILITY: UMass Lowell engineering alumni, students who have graduated in the last six months who may not have received a ring, and students who plan to graduate in 2025 (have earned more than 90 credits to date).
