Francis College of Engineering Graduate Programs - Steps to Graduate
All graduate students must complete the Declare Intent to Graduate (DIG) DocuSign form in the final semester of their degree program. It is recommended that the DIG form is completed after the add/drop period of the final semester. All students in graduate programs (MS or PhD) in the Francis College of Engineering, including those enrolled in GPS, must follow the appropriate steps for their respective degree program. The requirements for each Francis College of Engineering graduate degree program are listed below. Students should direct any questions to the associate chairs of their respective program.
Non-thesis and MS project students:
Students pursuing a thesis for their MS program:
- Thesis committee approval form (submit during the 3rd semester of academic progression)
- Thesis announcement form (submit at least 2 weeks prior to the thesis defense date)
- Declare Intent to Graduate (DIG) DocuSign Form
Student pursing a PhD:
- Graduate desk space and lab access form
- PhD proposal committee approval form
- Proposal defense announcement form (submit at least 2 weeks prior to the proposal defense date)
- Proposal completion form
- PhD committee approval form
- PhD defense announcement form (submit at least 2 weeks prior to the defense date)
