Learning Outcomes for the M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction

Graduates of UMass Lowell's Master of Education, Curriculum & Instruction will be able to:
  1. explore, interrogate, identify, synthesize and articulate their own theory of learning,
  2. articulate multiple theoretical perspectives and conceptualizations of social justice and their applications to real-world educational contexts,
  3. create and implement a variety of classroom assessment tools,
  4. demonstrate an in-depth understanding of research-informed critical literacies praxis,
  5. analyze young adult literature books in terms of literary quality, interest, reading level and social and political perspectives.
