Learning Outcomes

After completing Ph.D.-level coursework in Criminology and Criminal Justice, students will be able to demonstrate:
  1. their analytical skills by creating and carrying out a proposed research study;
  2. their analytical and writing skills by critically reviewing and synthesizing disciplinary research articles and books relevant to specific topics of interest;
  3. their ability to communicate by articulating research findings to professional audiences;
  4. their analytical skills by being able to independently conduct statistical analyses via R and interpret the results;
  5. their ability to communicate by producing a research statement, which may use to apply for research positions;
  6. their analytical and communication skills by successfully publishing peer-reviewed articles.
