American Canoe Association (ACA) Level 1-2: Essentials of Kayak Touring Instructor Development/Certification Workshop (IDW / ICW)*
This course is an American Canoe Association Instructor Development and Certification Workshop for Level 1: Introduction to Kayaking (pdf) and Level 2: Essentials of Kayak Touring (pdf) Instructors for Essentials of Kayak Touring.
Cost $375
Cost includes instruction and equipment rental. ACA membership and fees required for certification and is a separate fee from this course registration.
Equipment
Those who own their own kayak and equipment are encouraged to use it during this course.
All necessary program equipment is provided.

Physical Exertion
Moderate: Participants will paddle 1-5 mi. (2-8 km.) and a current may be present but weak. Waves will be less than 1 foot with the potential for winds up to 12 mph. Expect potentially cold water. Previous experience is recommended but not required. Swimming ability with life jacket assistance is required. Paddle times usually run 3-5 hours a day.
