Facility Rentals for External Groups

Is your external group or organization looking to rent one of our recreational facilities or activity spaces? Campus Recreation manages external rentals for the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) basketball courts, Campus Recreation Complex turf fields, and the UMass Lowell Bellegarde Boathouse for regattas or other water-related programs and events.

Rentals at the CRC or Campus Recreation Complex are typically restricted to low use times outside of the academic semesters to limit the impact to our students. 

External Rental Group Requirements & Fees

External rental groups are required to sign a user agreement as well as provide a certificate of insurance (COI) naming UMass Lowell as additionally insured for the coverage limits of $2M for a single occurrence and $4M aggregate. 

Groups with minor participants are subject to Mass.Gov 105 CMR 430.00 guidelines if they meet the definition of recreational camps for children; all groups with minor participants will be required to verify that they are responsible for adhering to the 105 CRM 430.00 guidelines if they qualify. 

Current rental rates for our most popular recreational facilities/activity spaces are as follows:

  • CRC Basketball Courts - $100/hr. per court (3 total courts)
  • Campus Recreation Complex Turf - $200/hr. per field (2 total fields)
