Biosketch
Melissa began her career at UMass Lowell at the Center for Community Research & Engagement as a Research Assistant. Upon completing her degree, she served as Program Evaluator, then Senior Evaluator, where her role was to facilitate partnerships between the university and community, manage programs, and provide research and evaluation expertise to community partners. She has also facilitated strategic planning workshops and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology.
Melissa went on to lead the university's JED Campus initiative where she was responsible for developing, organizing, and providing leadership to a UMass Lowell community to improve the mental health and well-being of students at the university.
Melissa is now the Director of Prevention & Education, leading efforts to prevent mental health issues, suicide, substance misuse and sexual violence while promoting well-being and safety in our students.
