Psychology

Psychology major William Cole-French, a distance runner on UML’s men’s cross country and track and field teams, received an America East Helping Hands Award for his volunteer mentorship of a local elementary school student.

By talking with someone who’s younger through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, you’re reminded what really matters: relationships, being a good person and being kind.

Transformative Experience

"I used my Immersive Scholarship to study abroad in Prague. This program enabled me to not only take fascinating courses totally outside my comfort zone, but also to explore one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Europe. It was a transformative experience, and I learned a lot about myself and the world around me and made fantastic new friends as we took courses and traveled together!"

Valuable & Insightful

“Throughout my time at the Natick Army Research Center, I gained valuable experience both as a chemist and an adult. I learned new techniques such as fiber extrusion, knitting and various analytical techniques. This was my first real job away from home and it gave me some insight on how the real world works.”
