An avid research enthusiast and scholar, I fell in love with metabolic engineering and biochemistry at an early age. My goal is that, through my passion for biochemistry and my desire to marry it with my chemical engineering background, I can work in the biopharmaceutical industry to optimize the production of specialized chemicals like insulin. After working in the industrial setting, I would like to retire into teaching, where I can help guide the new generation of researchers and scientists to make the world greener and safer.

In May 2022, I received my B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Honors and an area of emphasis in bioengineering, from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyoming. My previous research focused on metabolically engineering microorganisms to create monomers required for NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) construction tool assembly and carbon sequestration. In addition, my previous research also entailed developing DNA identification assays for bacterial infections in bovine species caused by B. abortus. Currently, my research focuses on CO2 recycling, unconventional feedstock metabolization, and genetic engineering of Y. lipolytica to produce high-value products such as omega-3 and wax esters.
