Biosketch
An enthusiastic disturbance biologist intending to study the impact of our urban infrastructure on vegetation and the overall affected watershed. As our civilizations increase, so do the areas we impact, whether positive or negative, to be seen. Andrea wishes to understand the relationship this change will have, both for plants and us.Andrea originally attended Christopher Newport University in Virginia, where she received a BS in Environmental Biology. This is where she first developed her love of natural science and an interest in research, being able to ask a question and work to get it answered. She then attended Kennesaw State University and received her MS in Integrative Biology studying the disturbance that both fire and a cicada emergence have on forest composition and chemistry.
