  • South - Broadway Street Bus Stop
  • East - East Campus Bus Stop
  • East - Salem Street Bus Stop

MVRTA Program Information

The MVRTA (Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority), also referred to as MeVa Transit, is free for all riders starting March 1, 2022 for at least two years. No need to swipe your UCard!

Any individual commuting from Methuen, Haverhill or other cities serviced by the MVRTA can take the 41 line which conveniently stops at the Robert Kennedy Transfer Station. From the Kennedy Transfer Station, you can utilize the LRTA or rideshare services to get to campus.

Roadster Routes

Transportation Services and the Web Services Office in University Relations have been working together to develop a GPS site to allow students and the UMass Lowell community members to see where our shuttles are in real-time. We are excited to announce the latest version of RoadsterRoutes! As we continue to work on the development of the program, we are also asking for your feedback. Please let us know what you think of the new site.

Transportation Advisory

We can only pick students up at designated bus stop locations. For the safety of students and drivers, once the bus pulls away from the bus stop, it will not stop to pick up students. Please use caution during the winter, specifically at night, when melting snow may re-freeze causing some locations to become slippery.

If you have any further questions or comments, please email: transportation_services@uml.edu or call the Transportation Services Office at: 978-934-2222, or on campus at ext. 4-2222.

School closing information is posted on the university's homepage.
