Poll: Trump Leads Haley by 30 points in Republican Field for N.H. Primary
UMass Lowell’s Center for Public Opinion conducted a survey from Dec. 7-18, 2023 of 450 New Hampshire Republican primary voters regarding the upcoming presidential election, nationwide abortion access, aid to Israel and Ukraine, and a maximum age limit for elected officials.

Key Findings:
- At 52%, former President Donald Trump holds a commanding lead for the Granite State Republican party’s nomination.
- Trailing by 30 points, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is in a not-so-close second at 22%.
- Nearly two-thirds (64%) of respondents would support a constitutional amendment prohibiting candidates aged 75 or older from holding federal office.
