Warnock Slightly Ahead in Georgia’s U.S. Senate Runoff
UMass Lowell’s Center for Public Opinion conducted a survey from Nov. 18 to 28, 2022, of 1,300 Georgia-registered likely voters about the December 2022 Senate runoff, election integrity and nationwide abortion access among other issues.
Key Findings
- More Georgia-registered, likely runoff voters support incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock (51%) than GOP challenger Herschel Walker (46%).
- A majority (54%) of respondents disapprove of President Biden’s performance as commander in chief but would return him to office in a possible 2024 rematch against former President Trump.
- Nearly two-thirds (63%) of Georgia-registered, likely runoff voters favor a right to abortion in every state, with 37% against.
- Sixty percent of Georgia-registered, likely runoff voters reported politicians are definitely or mostly accountable for rising prices.
