The Center for Public Opinion provides students, faculty and visiting scholars access to public opinion research that employs time-tested probability-based techniques while incorporating the latest empirical evidence about survey innovations and best practices. Subjects of study are multi-disciplinary, covering political, social, economic and cultural issues. Results of such research will be incorporated into curricula to enhance student learning.
The valuable data gathered through both academic research and phenomena measured will not only inform and enhance the quality of teaching and learning, but also yield important information that can advance the public's understanding of government policies, civic culture issues and encourage civic engagement.
