  • Consult with the UMass Lowell University Library. We have librarians that can help you understand and work with important concepts around sharing your research, such as preparing codebooks for the web; assigning Open Researcher and Contributor IDs (ORCIDs) and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs); understanding and following Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) Principles; formatting for web accessibility; and more. As funders increase Open Access mandates, they will expect that your research and the underlying data will be made available, in a long-term secure format, on the open web.

  • Consult with the UMass Lowell University Library to think through not just packaging your data for formal journal publication, but also where to deposit your data, presentations, and journal articles so that they have maximum impact. The Library can help you find the right university, disciplinary, or generalist repository.

  • Contact the Office of Research Development (ORD) by email: RD@uml.edu to share the results of your research. ORD will work with the Office of Brand, Communications & Creative Strategy to develop the best approach to publicizing your work in news articles, press releases, social media, etc.
