Biosketch
Grazielle is a doctoral student in the Sociology Department at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received a BA in Sociology and Gender & Sexuality Studies from University of California, Irvine in 2018. Her research interests focus on immigration, gender, family, and care work, with an emphasis on the work of au pairs in the United States. While at UC Irvine, she conducted a qualitative study examining how individual socio-demographic characteristics, dynamics with host families, and institutional factors influence au pairs’ work experiences. Grazi’s research interests stem from her personal experiences as an immigrant domestic worker in the United States.
