Biosketch
Cynthia Cranford is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto. Her recent research compares the social organization of in-home personal elder care and disability support. She is the author of "Home Care Fault Lines: Understanding Tensions and Creating Alliances" (2020, Cornell University Press) and her work on care has also been published in Critical Sociology, Labor Studies Journal, Sociological Theory, Work, Employment and Society and several edited volumes. Cynthia joined the Carework Network Steering Committee in 2017 and helped organize the Second Global Summit in Toronto in 2019.
