Roles of Key Program Participants
The HWPP uses a two-committee structure to encourage engagement and collaboration at all levels of the organization. The management level Steering Committee provides oversight and resources. The front line workers of the Design Team develop interventions. A Facilitator coordinates Design Team activities and assists with the overall program progress.
Why a two-committee structure?
The two-committee structure provides front-line employees with a safe space to openly discuss root causes to health and safety concerns. This enables them to envision and develop solution concepts that are more likely to be effective and sustainable. By having two committees, front line employees have a predictable way to communicate and collaborate with organizational leaders to address health and safety concerns.
