The Total Worker Health® for Students e-learning course provides a foundational introduction to Total Worker Health (TWH) concepts and how they apply to professional practice.

The course consists of a brief Course Overview and two separate one hour Course Modules. Each module includes online narrated slides, videos, and more! Certificates of completion will be issued for each module separately. Students must view all presentation materials and complete the evaluation questions to obtain a certificate.

Who Should Take This Course?

The course is intended for college and university students in fields related to occupational safety and health. Some examples include: public health, nursing, organizational psychology, industrial engineering, health promotion, and human resources management.

Before Starting the Course

  • Be sure to check the "Remember Me" box when filling out the sign-in form to retain your course sign-in information.
  • Clearing your browsing data or switching to a different device after enabling "Remember Me" will result in the Brainshark platform not retaining your sign-in information.
  • Optional transcriptions of the Instructor's recorded audio are available for each slide for all videos in the Brainshark player.
    • To view transcriptions of the Instructor's audio recordings, click on the notes icon in the Brainshark player.

This module covers professions related to worker well-being; the relevance of work, work organization, and the working environment for safety, health, and well-being; and the definition of TWH.

Total Worker Health for Students: Module 2 Video
This module describes TWH practices, and how professionals can use TWH concepts when performing their roles to protect and promote the safety, health, and well-being of workers.
