CMINDS Research Recognized at 2014 IEEE International Symposium

On Dec. 15, 2014, Prof. Dalila Megherbi and her PhD student Thomas Calloway were honored at the IEEE International Symposium on Robotics and Manufacturing Automation (IEEE ROMA2014) for their research work findings with applications to, including, Drone Imaging for accurate localization and mapping, Big Data Virtual and Augmented Reality, Robotic Car Imaging, and Google Glass Imaging. Their work was presented in their paper titled “Orientation Estimation Via Low Cost Depth Sensor ICP Versus MEMS Gyroscope Sensor Fusion.” Their paper won the “Best Paper Award”.
