Biosketch

Joe Veneziano is currently a Ph.D. student in Applied Psychology and Prevention Science under the advisement of Professor Ashleigh Hillier. Joe's research focuses on autism in adulthood, the intersection of autistic and LGBTQ+ identities, autism and sexuality, neurodiversity, and masking within the autistic community. Joe received his Bachelors in Psychology and Music with a Neuroscience Concentration from Grinnell College and a Masters in Autism Studies from University of Massachusetts Lowell. Joe is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who works in adult services. Joe is passionate about ensuring that autistic voices are heard and amplified in the conversation on autism and ensuring that treatments and teaching with autistic people in not only evidence-based but also neurodiversity-friendly.
