Research Interests
Merriman’s research examines compensation and performance management systems and the valuation of intangible business assets such as human capital. She applies this lens to various aspects of human and firm performance, including timely issues such as the gender earnings gap, entrepreneurship in the on-demand economy and organizational sustainability. Merriman is published in a wide range of academic and business outlets. She also shares her research findings and expertise as a frequent speaker and business adviser.

Biosketch
Kimberly Merriman is published in a wide range of academic and business outlets. She also shares her research findings and expertise as a frequent speaker and business advisor. Before joining UMass Lowell, she served on the faculty of Penn State and Wichita State Universities. Prior to entering academia, she spent twelve years as a business and property valuation consultant providing services to large corporations, small businesses and government entities.
