The fall series kicks of Wednesday, Sept. 18 with Mass Innovation Nights 126. Mass Innovation Nights is a monthly new product showcase highlighting early stage startup companies. By connecting startups with experts, service providers and the community, Mass Innovation Nights has built a powerful network that helps the startup ecosystem thrive.
The MIN event in Haverhill will feature four Haverhill-based companies – Microshare and IT Squared (two technology startups based at the Innovation Hub) and Goodie Krunch and Spirit Box. Six other innovative new companies from the greater Boston region will join them in demoing their products.
The series continues with events through December. Additional scheduled topics and dates:
Oct. 9 – Finding a mentor who works for you
In partnership with EforAll and SCORE, this program will bring mentors and mentees together to learn how to build successful mentor-mentee relationships.
Nov. 20 – Fundraising, Crowdsourcing and Investing
Building capital is crucial for startups and in this workshop, a panel of experts will help companies look at the range of options and the benefits and risks of various sources of capital.
Dec. 11 – Surviving Entrepreneurship – Tales from the Trenches
Entrepreneurs often say they work 80 hours a week for themselves so they don’t have to work 40 hours for someone else. For this program, we will hear stories from several entrepreneurs, looking at the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur.
All events begin at 6 p.m. (doors at 5:30 p.m. for networking) and are held at the iHub, 2 Merrimack St., 3rd Floor, Haverhill Mass. All events are free and open to the public. Registration and more info available at www.uml.edu/ihub.
Mass Innovation Nights is presented in collaboration with Lightspeed Manufacturing and the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.
The Entrepreneur Development Series is sponsored by MTM Insurance and the Better Business Bureau serving Eastern Massachusetts.
