We are launching a research working group focused on real estate, the built environment, placemaking and the geography of work. This group will bring together researchers from diverse fields—such as business, architecture, sociology, economics, political science, public health and environmental design—to explore how “place” shapes (and is shaped by) social, economic, and cultural life.

Our goal is to foster collaborative scholarship, share works-in-progress, and spark new research and funding initiatives. If your work engages with the role and meaning of place in contemporary life, we’d love to hear from you!
