Join the Center for Community Research and Engagement for our next Community Thursdays event on Thursday, March 20, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at 150 Wilder St.

Our featured organization is Cooperative Elder Services Inc. (CESI), a nonprofit provider of adult day health (ADH) services in the greater Boston area that has been in operation since 1978. CESI believes that healthy aging is for everyone, and as such aims to help folks age in their community for as long as possible. Folks join them in the morning and return home at the end of the day, all the while under the care of registered nurses. CESI provides service coordination and offers failure-free activities.

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to learn more about the vital work of Cooperative Elder Services Inc. and the types of collaborations it is  interested in forming with our UMass Lowell community. Opportunities for collaboration include as a host site for nursing students, program evaluation, project-based work such as social media campaigns, etc. They love working with others and are very open to all discussions.

Of note for our campus community: UMass Lowell Community Social Psychology graduate Michelle Holmberg, chief strategy director of CESI, will be joining us for this discussion!

There are amazing people doing important work in our community, both on and off campus. Join us for this informal conversation to talk about how we can support each other and collaborate to improve the lives of everyone in our community.
