The Department of Psychology is mourning the death of long-time colleague Joan Cannon, Ed.D. Joan started in 1970 at what was then Lowell State College, with a joint appointment in the Office of Admissions and the Department, and she continued as a valued member of the department until her retirement in 2015. Joan served for many years as the faculty advisor to the campus's chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society in Psychology. She was also one of the early adopters of online teaching and was much loved by her students, both on campus and online.
