River Hawk Scholars Academy (RHSA) is excited to announce that we are seeking partnerships with interested research faculty for the 2025–26 academic year as part of our Roads to Research program.

The Roads to Research initiative is designed to provide first-generation RHSA students with opportunities to engage in diverse research projects, enriching their academic journeys and fostering professional growth. Open to sophomores and above, regardless of major, the program connects students with UMass Lowell's distinguished faculty while offering numerous scholarships.

Participating students will:
  • Gain hands-on research experience and practical work skills;
  • Cultivate valuable professional networks; and
  • Bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application.

For faculty, collaborating with RHSA students offers an opportunity to inspire, mentor and make meaningful contributions to their academic and professional development.
